A Bangkok taxi driver who used a slingshot to launch a rock through the window of a Thai actors Porsche during an incident of road rage had his licence suspended for one month and a fine issued of 1,000 baht yesterday (January 9).
The driver in question 37-year-old Udon Sitthipol refused to talk with reporters yesterday after meeting with police to hear the charges and pay his fine.
It was widely reported that the incident happened on Monday which involved the cabbie and the 29-year-old actor cutting in front of one another on the New Phetburi Road before Udon used a slingshot to launch a rock through the side window of the actors Porsche after which a full blown argument ensued.
The well know Thai actor may also still face charges following the incident and has yet to report to the police station regarding the matter after his manager stated that he is currently “busy”.
Despite the damage to the actor’s expensive sports car he has declined to make a complaint said he did not want compensation, the Land Transport Department Inspection Division have made the decision to suspend the taxi drivers license for one month and make him take a three-hour driver training session.
