Thai baht getting stronger hits highest rate since April 2015

With reports that the Thai economy continues to go from strength to strength the baht is also getting stronger.

The baht is getting stronger, rising to 32.81 baht per dollar on Monday the highest it has been since April 2015 thanks largely to strong third economic growth.

The Thai economy expanded at its fastest annual rate in over four years.

The third-quarter GDP was released on Monday which was viewed as being fairly strong leading to the baht staying stable.

Over recent months the dollar has been held down as a result of uncertainty over US tax policy.
