Members of the government here in Thailand spoke out this week expressing the nations desire to join the 11 nation strong Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP.)
Speaking to reporters yesterday (March 29) Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusriptak said that it is important for Thailand to start preparations for becoming a member.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister a special team will be assembled by the Ministry of Commerce to oversee preparations.
He said the government will seek support from their counterparts in Japan on joining the Tpp.
