Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha reaffirmed his promise that an election would be held when speaking with villagers in the Kantang district yesterday, however the exact date for the election is not yet decided because of the current political situation and the need for certain laws to be complete before it can be held.

The PM said “Do not pressure me, I will keep my word.”

Prime Minister Prayut was quoted when visiting villagers in the flood hit area of Trang yesterday.

When speaking he advised those present to select a good candidate when voting.

Previously the PM announced that the election would be held in November of 2018, however the date for the election has already been moved several times
