Narcotic police in Thailand have arrested four drug traffickers who have links to Laotian drug lord Xaysana Keopimpha.
During the process, they confiscated a whopping 70 million baht in assets from the gang. This included currency, cars and jewellery.
Investigations lasting over 12 months, which involved tracking the gang led by a Malaysian/Chinese person identified as Chieng Mee.
The four who have been detained are named as Chieng Mee, Tan Han Chiang, along with two Thai women identified as Wiphawarat Karndee and Walaiphan Petchpong. They were taken into custody on Wednesday evening.
It is alleged that the gang had a cash flow of over 2 billion baht.
