The Red Cross Society here in Thailand is asking people to donate blood, especially people with the A blood type as a shortage of blood is beginning to effect hospitals nationwide.
Currently hospitals here in Thailand need on average 3,000 litres of blood per day to treat patients at the 150 hospitals across the kingdom.
For people in the capital blood donations can be given at the Thai Red Cross National Blood Centre which is located on Henri Dunant Road, for those not in the capital blood donations can be given at provincial blood service centres.
The Thai Red Cross has also set up a special project to promote the donation of blood throughout 2018 with the goal of the project being to help the public and to honour his Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun.
For those interested in donating blood more information can be found at https://english.redcross.or.th/node/49
