A competition based on the skill of public speaking and organised by the English-Speaking Union, is helping improve and celebrate the power of the English language in Thailand.
A student from the British International School in Phuket, competed in the tournament, defeating ten other finalist from around the Kingdom. Her reward is the opportunity to compete in the international finals in London.
Rebecca had never considered a career in public speaking previous to the to event but has an obvious flair and skill for the profession.
Having never spoken in public before, she entered with great trepidation but she had nothing to fear. She received specific coaching from a Ms Burley, whilst attending pre-competition workshops, which assisted in combatting her nerves.
She has a talent for public speaking and we wish her every success in London.
