Thailand crashed to defeat at home against Saudi Arabia by a three goals to nil scoreline in their latest World Cup qualifier.

Thailand had high hopes of victory following a narrow 1-0 defeat in Riyadh in September, 2016 but an own goal from Tanaboon Kesarat and strikes from Mohammed Al Sahlawi and Salman Almuwashar ensured the Middle East side would go home with the points in the bag.

Thailand are firmly rooted to the bottom of group B with a solitary point earned in a 2-2 draw with Australia back in November, 2016.

Saudi and Japan share the top spot with 13 points apiece, as Japan won 2-0 in the United Arab Emirates
