Thailand has goal of having no illegal migrants by March 2018

According to the permanent secretary for labour affairs Jarin Jakkapak, Thailand’s Labour ministry has set the goal of being without illegal migrant workers before March 31, 2018.

By which point all legal works will have protection from both Thai and International labour laws.

The statement was made when Peter Haymond the Deputy Chief of Mission to the US Embassy located in Bangkok visited the permanent secretary at the Labour Ministry earlier today.

Mr Jakkapak ensured the US official that Thailand is committed to solving the problems of child labour, force labour and human-trafficking.
