Myanmar police are searching for three Thai woman at the request of the Thai authorities.
They are wanted in connection with the murder of Warisara Klinjui, a 22-year-old karaoke bar worker, who was cut in half, placed in bin bags and dumped on farmland last week.
The suspects names were given as Preeyanuch “Preaw” Nonwangchai, 24, Kawita “Earn” Ratchada, 25, and Apiwan “Jae” Sattayabundit, 28.
Police have two other suspects in custody at present. They were identified as
Wasin Namprom, 22, and his girlfriend Jidarat “Aom” Promkhun, 21.
Witnesses said the three wanted girls were last seen at a spa but had since disappeared around the 25th of May.
The girls had been working at a karaoke bar in Tachilek in Myanmar close to the border with Thailand. The bar is owned by a Thai national.
Police believe the victim was murdered because she supplied officers with information concerning an international drug network, operating in the area.
As a result of information she supplied, several people were arrested including one of the wanted girl’s husband.
Preeyanuch Nonwangchai, either decided to take revenge herself of was acting on instructions from drug lords. She is believed to be heavily involved in drug sales too.
