Three migrant workers have been arrested after they were discovered to have over 300,000 baht worth of pirated goods in shops in Phuket.
Two Vietnamese women and a Burmese man were detained for questioning as police seized over 3000 fake clothing items, electronics and miscellaneous goods.
They were also charged with forging a registered trademark and entering and living in Thailand illegally.
Locals made the complaints claiming pirate goods were being sold by the trio, which lead to an investigation.
In their defence, the accused told police that they were employed by the shop proprietors and that the goods did were the property of the show owners.
Police are now searching for the owners of the three shops.
