It has been reported that Thailand’s top cop “Big Peh” the nickname for the national Thai police chief Jakthip Chaijinda is not too happy with his officers, despite issuing two directives last year for his officers to smarten up their appearance he said some officers are still not falling in line.
According to media reports chief Jakthip has given officers with long hair and messy uniforms until February 15 to smarten up their acts or face the consequences.
The latest warning follows orders to smarten up their looks given on November 15 and December 14 of last year.
This final warning has reportedly been issued to all the station chiefs across the kingdom.
Some station chiefs appeared to be more proactive than others after Pattaya’s station chief was pictured organising a mass hair cutting session at the Pattaya police station following the first directive.
There was no report of what the punishments for officers might be if they still failed to meet the police chief’s higher standards for officer’s appearance.
