The feeling of panic when you go to get your phone out of your pocket and it’s not there and you suddenly realise you have left it somewhere became all too real for one Chinese passenger.
Luckily though thanks to the efforts of the Suvarnabhumi Airport Special Operations Centre officers and local police the phone which was an iPhone 7 plus worth roughly 31,500 Baht, wasn’t missing for long.
Mr Preeda Yowa, age 34, had left his phone in a taxi on the way to the airport and after alerting airport authorities of his error they used CCTV footage to identify the license plate number of the taxi. The driver was then notified and returned the phone to the tourist police at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
As Mr Yowa had already left for China by the time the phone was returned airport staff sent an e-mail notifying the phones owner he could collect it from the airport when he returns.
Remember to always check you have everything before leaving a taxi.
