A student in his fourth year at a Chonburi university said to be obsessed with obtaining white sin was found dead by his mother yesterday morning.

When officers from the Sri Racha police force arrived they discovered Athiwat Thongleua, 23, dead on the floor in front of the television at a town house where he lived.

Officers said the body had blood leaking from its mouth and nose and estimated Athiwat had been dead for at least five hours.

Investigating the scene officers found food supplements close to the body and concluded that there was no sign of foul play.

The young student’s mother said she had been out and returned to find her son on the floor.

She spoke to reporters telling them that Athiwat was obsessed with getting white skin and thinks he might have taken too many pills and had a heart attack.

Police have sent the body to be autopsied but relatives are already beginning funeral preparations confident that there was no foul play present
