The Thai media has reported that there has been yet more trouble at the “Monkey House Bar” in Surin after the owner was attacked my members of a motorcycle club at the weekend.

It was reported that a group of men had been arrested for the assault on the owner Lee Buil, 57, from Hull, England, but the men had since been released on bail.

Lee’s sister-in-law said that they had now shut the bar and felt like prisoners in their own home. She alleges that officers said that the men arrested all offered “Wais” and were allowed to be released.

The trouble started on Friday and spilled over into Saturday where the brawl resulted in Lee receiving 18 stiches for his head wounds and 60,000 baht’s worth of property damage.

It was said that the bikers have opened a rival bar in the area called Cross Pistons which might of started the trouble.
