A man has married his male bride in a heart warming ceremony in Phitsanulok in central Thailand, despite having been apart for a number of years.
The 38-year-old man groom from Nakhon Si Thammarat, Notthapich Thanatsirichote took the hand of Nawin Prathumsut, 36 on Friday.
The pair met in Phitsanulok, became friends and partners before they moved to Pattaya for work reasons in 2003.
However Nawin became ill, ending up in a coma. When he awoke, they discovered he was blind and was forced to return to his home town in 2007. The couple sadly lost contact.
But true love reigned and Notthapich contacted Nawin. The relationship was resumed, which resulted in their marriage.
Notthapich said he recently contacted Nawin again out of his love and attachment for him. The two decided to resume the relationship and eventually agreed to get married.
They say true love never dies, for Notthapich and Nawin, this may well be the case.
