Two ex-cops have been detained on drug trafficking charges.
Prayad Phola, 42, a former police sergeant major and Mongkol Phumpipat, 51, a former police senior sergeant major, were arrested on Saturday.
They were found to be in possession of a substantial amount of methamphetamine pills and dried marijuana.
Police seized 1.2 million ya ba pills and 1,100 packs of dried ganja during the arrest acting on a tip off, giving details of a white pick up travelling from Laos to the south of Thailand.
The drugs were put on display during the customary press briefing on Monday.
Both men have a chequered history in drug offences, having previous convictions.
Two other men were also arrested. Sombat Phola, 54, and Jakkri Prasertwongsa, 32.
