Two police officers officially charged for helping former PM escape

According to reports two Nahon Pathom police officers have been formally charged following an investigation into the disappearance of former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra for dereliction of duty.

It was announced by Pol Gen Srivara Ransibrahmanakul that the two officers, Lt Col Samit Chai-inkham and Sgt Maj Pornpipat reported to him yesterday to hear the charges issued against them.

Srivara said that he summoned both officers after an investigation uncovered evidence that both helped the former PM escape two days before the verdict of her trial was to be given back in August of this year.

Both officers have since been released after the charges were issued.

A third officer is currently wanted by police after he failed to show up to hear the same charges on November 10, officers are still searching for Col Chairit Anurit.

Officers stated that records show Chairit has not left the kingdom via official immigration routes.

At this present time the former Prime Minister still remains at large despite a high ranking prosecutors promise last month to bring her to justice along with several other high profile fugitives.
