The Meteorological Department has issued a warning today (October 20)
to residents in the North and Northeast of the kingdom telling them to expect a drastic change in weather conditions, including heavy rains, thunderstorms and a rapid drop in temperature for most on next week.
The warning was issued at 5am by the MET department who said that the conditions would likely occur as a result of a strong high pressure system moving in from China mixing with hot humid weather in the upper part of the kingdom.
They said from Saturday they upper regions would likely experience high winds and thundery conditions for three days.
The public in the affected areas should expect a drop in temperature of 2 to 5 degrees Celsius.
