A passenger in a minibus took to Facebook to complain that a mini bus they were on had taken on more passengers than there was seats on Monday.
The Chon Buri Land Transport Office fined the driver a total of 10,000 baht after seeing the Facebook post after determining the driver worked under the Sukhumwit Transpoer Co Ltd and called him in for questioning over the incident.
The driver Pipat Intharathud was fined 5,000 baht for failing to comply with the regulations that limit the number of passenger his vehicle could hold and 5,000 baht for failing to adhere to road safety regulations.
Along with the hefty fine he also had his driving licence suspended for 30 days.
