People in Chiang Mai were treated to Thailand’s own version of the Grand National it would seem on Monday morning after a video was uploaded to social media, which soon went viral, showing three horses galloping through traffic during rush hour.
The video shows the horses running between cars and motorbikes along the Chiang Mai-Doi Saket road with many people questioning how they got there and to whom they belonged.
Phuthorn Sansai Police inspector, Pol. Maj. Rattanadech Pirunsan said that several members of the public called to report the horses galloping through traffic leading him to dispatch officers to track down the four legged miscreants.
The footage shows the horses heading towards Payap University, however by the time officers arrived there was no sign of the horses anywhere in the city.
Pol. Maj. Rattanadech stated that he was notified that the owner of the horses was also out looking for them, however they did not request any assistance from his officers to do so.
He also stated that the horse’s antics did not result in any injuries or accidents being reported.
