Officers in Trang’s Muang district raided a temple late last night apprehending 29 people inside found gambling.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) and 30 officers from the Huay Yod Police Station who raided the Wat Klong Kui temple in Moo 5 Village in Tambon Pakcharm, following a tip off.
According to the commander of the CSD Sub-division 6 many of the gamblers found inside the temple were able to avoid capture, fleeing into the forest behind the temple.
29 people were arrested in total all of who were accused of gambling on a roulette wheel.
