Video: Vandals on vacation- couple caught

We hope a video being widely shared across social media is not the start of some new vacation craze after two foreign tourists were filmed vandalising public property with a green paint pen.

The video since being uploaded has been viewed over 1.5 million times and shows a young blond woman and her companion both looking like backpacker types tagging phone boxes and electricity poles on Silom Road in Bangkok.

The poster of the video Vorathep Chareonpornpanich wrote “two farang animals wrote on phone booths and electricity poles on Silom Road, they have no shame.”

The couple seem not too bothered by the fact Vorathep was following them recording their antics even blowing the camera a kiss at one point as they were seen writing “WOAH” and “XAWI.”

Understandably many comments were people proclaiming their outrage at the pair’s antics with some asking why the person filming did not confront the pair.

The punishment for vandalism in Thailand is a fine of up to 5,000 baht ($150.)
