BANGKOK: – Villagers and students from eight universities put their hands on the ranks of the Rangsit channel. That channel was full of dirt and water hyacinths, the reason it flooded often.

Piti Bhirombhakdi, heir of the Bean Rawd Brewery, which included Singha beer, posted a before and after photo of the Rangsit channel in Pathum Thani province yesterday.

A team of its brewery calls Singha-Arsa (lion-horses, singha = lion, arsa = horse), they started a project to clear the channel with volunteers from universities and villagers. The dirt and especially the water hyacinths clog the canal which causes it to overflow during the rainy season.

“Yesterday we cleaned the Rangsit channel.

Students from eight universities work together with the villager. Here’s the result, “posted Piti. And that result may be!
