The Thai Meteorological authorities have issued a warning to residents across six southern provinces to expect heavy rains and the possibility of flash flooding from Tuesday to Saturday
They said they have been tracking a monsoon currently over the Andaman Sea that will likely result in heavy rainfall in Ranong, Phuket, Phang Nga, Krabi, Trang and Satun.
They expect the monsoon to create swells up to 3 meters high in the Andaman Sea.
Governor Phakkhapong Thawipat advised residents across the six provinces to be wary of flash flooding and the possibility of mud slides especially those that live near mountains or low-lying areas.
