An announcement was made today by Deputy Police Chief Pol General Srivara Rangsipramanakul stating that they had been notified by the United Arab Emirates.
Ex-Prime Minister and now fugitive Yingluck Shinawatra had left Dubai and was on route to London, England.
It was not made clear when authorities were notified of this however.
He made it clear though that Thailand and the UK have an extradition treaty but it was down to prosecutors to apply for a suspect to be extradited.
He said that the police have done their responsibility notifying the Attorney-General about information they received as to the fugitive’s whereabouts.
The former PM fled Thailand just days before she was due in court to receive the courts verdict on alleged negligence during her time in office to which she has since been found guilty and sentenced to five years in prison.
