Belgium international Romelu Lukaku, currently in talks to join premier league giant Manchester United, was detained in Beverly Hills, USA after failing to heed noise warnings.
Officers from the Beverly Hills police department cited the 24-year-old striker on July 2 at around 8 p.m. after they responded to a noise complaint at a residence that Lukaku was staying at.
Romelu Lukaku Bolingoli was issued with misdemeanour citation for excessive noise. Officers had responded to five noise complaints at his residence giving verbal warnings before eventually receiving the citation.
The strikers was temporarily detained at the scene but was not “physically arrested”, he was issued the citation at the scene then released.
Lukaku is due to appear in court on October 2.
The incident happened less than 24 hours after Manchester United agreed a transfer fee with his current club Everton, subject to a medical and agreeing personal term.
The Belgian forward has scored over 100 goals for his current club over the last four seasons and will have a medical in Los Angeles before joining the rest of the United players on their USA pre-season tour.
