Thailand’s top badminton player Ratchanok Intanon will take on Japan’s Sayaka Sato in her opening match at the Singapore Open, 2017.
The Thai will begin the defence of her title on Wednesday against the world number 19.
Intanon, known as May, was knocked out of last week’s Malaysian Open in the quarter-final stages and will be looking to bounce back from the defeat at the hands of Carolina Marin of Spain.
Intanon withdrew from from the Thailand Masters due to a knee injury, so the Singapore competition is an opportunity for the 22-year-old to redeem herself.
Let’s get behind the Thai player and wish her all the best in Singapore.
Come on May!
