May, who missed her home event, The Thai Masters due to a knee injury earlier this year can make amends by defending her Singapore title next week.
The Thai superstar has amassed fourteen major titles since 2009 and was ranked number one in the world in 2016. However the 22-year-old has slipped to world number five this year.
