Thai Golfer Wins LPGA Title In Los Angeles

Thai golf star Moriya Jutanugarn has won the HUGEL-JTBC LA Open by two shots obtaining her first competition win on the LPGA Tour. Amazingly she follows in her big sister Ariya’s footsteps, who has also won on the tour.

The younger of the siblings, who is only 23 and hails from Bangkok, went three under par on Sunday, concluding with a total of 272 at Los Angeles’ Wilshire Country Club.

She had finished as a runner-up on three other occasions from 156 starts, which includes the Honda LPGA Thailand back in February. She has managed 21 top ten finishes previously before winning in LA.

Her sister Ariya, finished the tournament in joint 24th.

The first ever sisters to win on the LPGA Tour were Annika and Charlotta Sorenstam from Sweden.

Congratulations to the girls but especially to Moriya. We hope they go on to win many other titles during her career.
