Thailand finished seventh at the 2017 Montreux Volley Masters in Switzerland on Saturday.
The Thai ladies volleyball team made their debut in the World Grand Prix competition back in 2002 and have participated in all but one competition since. They managed to obtain fourth spot in 2012, in their best finish to date.
The same year they won the Asian Cup.
In 2016, Thailand reached the coveted final only to lose to China 3-1.
However the girls struggled in this years Montreux event, losing to Poland, Germany and winners Brazil by three sets to one on each occasion.
Champions Brazil defeated Germany 3-0 in the final.
For Thailand, the only way is up. Their is no doubting their pedigree, they have a decent track record over the years, so better luck next time ladies.
