Boxing genius Floyd Mayweather Jr has had a career filled with belts, praises and cash and retired undefeated over 50 matches. Challenging his record is Thailand’s Wanheng Menayothin better known as the ‘dwarf giant’ because of his lean stature.
Wanheng Menayothin will be fighting MMA star Conor McGregor for a US$100 million (THB3.2 billion) purse. With Wanheng win, he will equal Mayweather’s winning feat of 50 successive fights.
Wanheng competes under the label of their gym thus the name Menayothin.
He mostly plays under his nickname “dwarf giant” and also the “Five-Star Grilled Chicken” as part of sponsorship deal with Thai food giant CP Chicken although his actual name is Chayaphon Moonsri.
Wanheng mostly completes in low-profile Asian challengers on his home ground in Thailand where as Mayweatherhas defeated some of the big names of sports including Manny Pacquiao and Oscar De La Hoya.
“He’s younger and fresher,” Carlos Costa, a boxing reporter covering the fight said of Estrada. “He’s hungry for glory, and that makes a boxer always dangerous.”
