Manchester United won their first European trophy since 2008 beating Ajax of Amsterdam in the Europa League Cup final last night.
Goals from Pogba and Mkhitaryan gave United victory in Stockholm’s Friends Arena.
The “chosen one” Jose Mourinho lead his side to their second major trophy of the season, having already defeated Southampton to lift the League Cup.
Ajax enjoyed most of the possession, having 17 shots at goal over United’s seven but failed to score.
Pogba put the reds ahead in 18 minutes with a deflected effort. The decisive goal came in the 48th minute as Mkhitaryan scored from close range.
It was an emotional night following the terrorist attack at the Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena, which killed 22 people.
Following the final whistle, supporters chanted “Manchester” in tribute to those who lost their lives or were injured.
