Cyber attacks from China have been targeting UK firms as warnings have been released that gangs could attack and compromise trade secrets.

The gang known as APT10, has utilised spear phishing and malware to obtain access to their targets.

It took a combined effort from the National Cyber Security Centre and cyber units at PwC and BAE Systems to identify the group, who claimed that acting alone, the hackers would still be undetected.

It is thought that the attackers hit IT outsourcing companies with a view of obtaining access to their targets.

As of yet, no one actually knows who is behind APT10 or how it selects it targets.
