Facebook helps users find free WIFI

There’s a new feature on the Facebook app which helps its users find free WIFI anywhere in the world.

Facebook originally began testing the new software on only Apple devises in certain countries but has since rolled out the software on iOS and Android worldwide.

All users have to do is click on the ‘more’ tab then select ‘find WIFI’ the app will then give you locations in your area where free WIFI is available, though in order for businesses offering free WIFI to appear on the app they need to opt into the new service.

This announcement comes in the wake of Facebook stating that it now has over 2 billion users on its platform which is just over one quarter of the world’s population.

Facebook is also attempting to boost connectivity even further by using solar powered drones in developing countries to help people get online.

One of Facebook’s drones named Aguila completed its second test flight, successfully flying over Arizona for one hour and 46 minutes.

With the new find WIFI feature it should become easier to stay connected all the time is this a good thing or a bad thing?
