A new mobile app called “Where Did the Tax Go” was unveiled yesterday at Thailand’s international “Digital Thailand Big Bang 2014” with the intent to allow members of the public to track what the government was spending money on.
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has encouraged the people of Thailand to download the new app so they can have up-to-date information about the government’s income and expenditure.
The app adheres with the information act which allows the public to access information from the government in order to prevent corruption.
The Prime minister said that the government was committed to preventing corruption and that the most important thing is that people can use the app to see how their taxes are spent.
