We revealed last week that the new Samsung 8 was about to be released and the company had high hopes that their new flagship phone, would revive their fortunes following the disastrous Note 7 debacle last year.
But it seems that the new S8 already has issues, this time with its latest “facial recognition” system.
The S8 can be unlocked by simply peering at the front facing camera but it is claimed that the technology can be fooled by using a photograph of the user.
Tests carried out by YouTube channel iDevice Help, reveal major flaws in the phones security and actually shows the S8 being tricked by a picture being held in front of the scanner.
Although this is not great news for Samsung, the feature can be disabled, permitting owners to make use of the fingerprint reader or PIN to unlock their phones.
