Scientists claim to have developed a material that can heal itself.
The material used is said to be capable of regenerating itself and if developed it could see the end of replacement screens in smart phones.
The new invention is made from a stretchable polymer and features a ion-dipole force bond that can stitch itself back together within 24 hours after damage has occurred.
Hard to believe – right?
Well maybe not. Researchers at the University of California Riverside have designed the material which can heal cracks and scratches.
The technology isn’t original but this new development takes things to a higher level. LG already use similar materials in their cases for the LG Flex.
Just imagine if you had a phone that can regenerate and heal its screen and was fully waterproof……
Insurance companies around the globe will be as excited as the end users.
