Global pop sensation Elton John announced yesterday (January 24) that he will perform a final tour before stopping traveling to spend more time with his family.
Elton now 70-years-old revealed his plan to call time on touring the world at a gala in New York and said he plans on “going out with a bang” with one last global tour that will start in September and run until 2021.
Elton told reporters that his priorities have now changed saying that he has had an amazing career but his priority are now his husband and children.
Elton John known the world over became one of the first openly gay celebrities back in the 1980’s and has since married David Furnish a former Canadian filmmaker, the couple have two children.
Speaking on other future plans Elton says he intends to keep writing and performing songs until the day he dies and after creating masterpieces such as “Candle in the wind” and “Rocket Man” let’s hope he does.
Currently the Rocket Man is closing out a residency in Las Vegas which concludes in May and when asked about future concert possibilities he said he may consider performing but they would more than likely be in Britain where he resides.
