Rescue workers were called to Soi Phra Tamnak in Pattaya after a report that a 15ft-long python had been spotted lurking in a garden hedge on October 14.
Krisana Ratanavichai, 24, said she spotted the serpent on the road outside her house and attempted to chase it away before it darted into the hedge.
Wildlife rescue workers were quickly on the scene and after about 30 minutes were able to safely remove the large snake from its hiding spot.
Once the snake was safely stowed away soon to be released back into the wild Krisana, who runs a restaurant joked “he is a luck snake, if I wasn’t afraid of them I might have put him on the menu.”
Workers from the Sawang Boribun foundation gave the large python a thorough check up before it was released back into the wild.
They said that finding snakes this large in cities is rare they are normally found in rural areas.
They said that snakes occasionally leave the forest when there has been large amounts of rain looking to get somewhere dry.
