Kanchanaburi police charged the owner and of a raft and his daughter for illegally advertising alcohol after a bikini party they were holding was live streamed for six hours on Facebook

The party that took place on a raft at the Srinagarind dam went viral on social media with many complaining about its inappropriate content.

It was not the scantily clad lady’s that resulted in police stepping in but the video showing alcoholic drinks and their brands that prompted the police into action.

Kanchanaburi’s police commander summoned Mr Sakchai Udon, 49, and his daughter Ms Nutchanat, 23, in for questioning over the incident on August 15.

Both father and daughter claimed they held the party to celebrate the opening of their new raft house.

The pair have been initially charged with advertising alcoholic drinks online after footage showed branded alcoholic drinks bottles being displayed on all dining tables.

The offense could lead to one year in prison and a maximum fine of 500,000 baht or both.

Police investigated all participants at the party and all were over the age of 18 and urine tests confirmed none of the party’s guests had taken drugs.

The commander has instructed his officers to re-examine footage of the party to see if there had been any further violation of the Computer Crimes Act.
