A blast outside a nursery school in China has killed at least eight people and injuring as many as 65 more.
The cause of the explosion in Fengxian, which is around 595 kilometres from Shanghai, is unknown but police have said that they are treating the incident as a criminal offence.
No children or teachers were killed in the blast according to sources.
Videos have appeared online showing graphic scenes, with people lying injured on the street, in scorched clothing or wandering around in a state of confusion.
Last month, eleven children died when a bus was deliberately set on fire by the driver in the Shandong Province.
