A large fired at a warehouse in Bangkok yesterday morning has estimated to have caused over 200 million baht’s worth of damage.
The fire broke out at a warehouse in the Bang Bon district, inside the warehouse was musical instruments and sporting goods and uniforms.
The building belongs to Landco Sport and Musical Co, fire officers have since cordoned off the building whilst they assess structural integrity and conduct their investigation.
Speaking about the fire Pol Lt-Colonel Sirichart Chanpromma said that the fire was able to spread quickly due to the contents of the warehouse being flammable.
He spoke to the press yesterday afternoon to announce that fire crews then had the fire under control and were continuing to douse the building to prevent smoldering debris from reigniting.
There were no reported casualties as a result of the fire.
At this time officials are still unaware what caused the fire and are awaiting results of forensic evidence as well as speaking with the building’s owner before an initial estimate is given.
