The giant croc that was first spotted last Friday swimming a short distance from a beach in Bang Tao was captured by members of a wildlife rescue team after two days of searches.
The large reptile originally believed to be a fresh water crocodile turned out to be a salt water croc that measured 3 metres in length.
In an operation supervised by the Phuket Fisheries Office the crocodile wranglers managed to capture the menacing looking reptile at 3.30am this morning estimating that the croc was about 10 years old weighing 200 kilos.
The croc was first spotted last Friday and reported by ex-pat Mike who used his sons drone to capture a video of the large reptile, which resulted in the largescale search for the crocodile.
