The much anticipated Pattaya tunnel has had to undergo repairs before it’s even open.
The Department of Rural Roads have had to dig up the exit to the tunnel as they became aware that the roads surface was victim of water damage.
The tunnel has not had any traffic pass through it as yet but the repairs to the Chonburi end of the tunnel are being blamed on rouge underground water.
The repairs are expected to delay the project by at least another week after reports that the 800 million baht tunnel would finally be open in August.
After several years of construction hopefully the tunnel will be open soon.
