Officers in Pattaya arrested a troubled foreign man on August 29 after he attacked a cashier at a Tesco lotus with pepper-spray.
Then proceeded to ransack the shelves before making off with a pack of cigarettes and some cheap Spy wine coolers.
A store employee said that the unidentified foreign man entered the store and attempted to but alcohol but was refused as it was past their legal time to sell such products.
CCTV footage from the store on Central Pattaya Road showed the man was obviously very unhappy with being refused to be served as he proceeded to pepper-spray two store employees before making off with his chosen goods, cigarettes and wine coolers.
Officers were quickly on the scene and found the man in a nearby alley and also located the bottle of pepper spray which he had tried to dispose of down a drain.
Reports said that the man was too drunk to answer any questions at the time of his arrest.
