An ambitious proposal was unveiled this week which would connect the eastern seaboard by high speed rail to Bangkok.
The proposed line would connect three main airports in the region.
Proposals were unveiled by the rail authorities at the Asia Hotel in Pattaya this week go offer people an opinion on the plans.
The proposed route would run from Don Meuang airport stretching 260 kilometres to Rayong.
At this stage there is a proposed 10 stations including Pattaya, Suvarnabhumi, chonburi, as well as several others. The project has been estimated to cost 28 billion baht.
Officials from the government as well as members from the private and business sector were all given an opportunity at the meeting to offer their insight into the proposed project.
Which is being seen as a great improvement to the country’s infrastructure.
