Officials announced this morning (September 23) that swimming at a popular waterfall in Krabi’s Mueang district is forbidden until further notice as a result of heavy rains.
Swimming at the Huay To Waterfall in the Khao Phanom Benja National Parkhas been prohibited over fears of possible surging waters from further upstream.
Park officials have posted signs warning tourists not to go into the water and have posted staff there to personally prevent anyone from swimming for their own safety.
Elsewhere the water level in the Thapprik Canal that runs through the Mueang district has continued to rise prompting official to warn residents living on the canal banks to move their belongings to higher ground.
