The first virtual reality arcade in Southeast Asia is heading to Bangkok’s Siam Square after an investment of 30 million baht.
VRX is located on the third floor of Siam Square One in a 250 square-meter premises and will feature five different virtual reality games including VR Racing, VR Snowboarding and VR OMNI among several others.
OMNI is software that allows players to run or walk in a virtual world whether it be firing weapons or running through a haunted house.
VR Racing brings the user all the thrills of driving on a pro circuit while VR snowboarding provides the gamer of a taste of the sport.
The VR arcade is expected to attract huge crowds estimated at over 300,000 visitors a month.
VR arcades are growing in popularity with over 200 opened worldwide over the last couple of years, however this will be the first VR arcade opened in Thailand or Southeast Asia.
The company plans to open ten additional VR arcades across the kingdom by the end of 2018.
