A somewhat unconventional wedding took place yesterday morning in Lop Buri which quickly became the talk of the town as there was no groom present just two brides.
The wedding took place between Amporn Plienchai, 33 who is the owner of three florist’s in the area and Chatkul Puangsombat, 37, the owner of an export company and also a beauty salon in Nakhon Sawan. Both women wore elegant bride’s dresses.
Amporn said that both of them had previously been married before to men but both had since divorced and were fed up with blokes.
The happy couple met in a chance encounter at the reclining Buddha statue after Amporn dropped flowers she was carrying and Chatkul picked them up for her, sounds like something straight out of a movie.
After meeting the couple kept in touch before eventually deciding they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.
Amporn’s parent received a dowry from Chatkul of 50 baht weight in gold, a diamond ring and 1 million baht in cash.
The ceremony took place at the Lop Buri Community hall.
The two plan to now start married life together in a new home in Nakhon Sawan.
